The “Other Face of Human Rights” Research Group of the University of Isfahan, in collaboration with the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and Baqir al-Olum University, organized the specialized pre-conference titled “Eastern Human Rights: From Theory to Practice” through five academic panels.
This event took place on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the University of Isfahan. Over 20 prominent scholars in legal, political, philosophical, historical, and literary fields delivered specialized presentations on the concept of Eastern human rights.
The opening ceremony featured speeches by Prof. Hossein Harsij, President of the University of Isfahan; Prof. Seyed Ehsan Rafiei Alavi, President of Baqir al-Olum University; Dr. Mohammad Ali Rabbani, Director General for Academic and Scientific Cooperation at the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization; and Prof. Mohammad Ali Basiri, faculty member at the University of Isfahan and head of the “Other Face of Human Rights” Research Group, who shared their perspectives on Eastern human rights and the significance of this event.
